FOUNDED IN 1989 · SERVING YOUNG MOTHERS STATEWIDE

What We Provide

Young mothers who enter Compassion House receive more than housing — they receive intentional, structured support designed to change the trajectory of their lives.

• Safe, supervised residential housing
• High school completion and education advocacy
• Life-skills and parenting education
• Counseling and mentorship
• Goal-setting and accountability planning
• Workforce readiness support

Why Compassion House
Is Essential in Arkansas

Arkansas consistently ranks among the highest states in the nation for teen pregnancy and maternal health challenges. Without structured support, young mothers face increased risks of:

• Dropping out of school
• Long-term poverty
• Housing instability
• Limited workforce opportunities

Compassion House interrupts that cycle by providing stability during one of the most critical seasons of a young mother’s life.

The Only Residential Program of Its Kind in Arkansas

As the only residential facility in Arkansas serving pregnant and parenting teens, Compassion House provides a level of structured care, accountability, and support not available anywhere else in the state.

Founded in 1989, we have served young mothers from across Arkansas for over three decades — offering not just temporary assistance, but a foundation for long-term independence.

The Reality Facing Young Mothers in Arkansas

• Arkansas ranks among the highest in teen pregnancy nationwide.
• Teen parenthood is a leading cause of high school dropout.
• Many young mothers face housing instability and generational poverty without structured support.

Compassion House exists to interrupt these cycles and replace instability with opportunity.

Rooted in Compassion Since 1989

Founded in 1989, Compassion House has served pregnant and parenting teens across Northwest Arkansas for over three decades.

What began as a small maternity home has grown into the only residential program in Arkansas dedicated to supporting young mothers through structured care and long-term development.

Today, we continue to expand our impact while remaining grounded in our Christ-centered mission of hope, stability, and transformation.

When a young mother is supported, educated, and empowered, her child’s future changes too.

Compassion House is more than a residence.
It is a turning point.
