At Compassion House, all staff and volunteers are expected to support residents in a safe, respectful, and Christ-centered environment. Many of the young women in our care are minors and may have experienced trauma. Sensitivity, professionalism, and appropriate boundaries are essential at all times.

Professional Boundaries

Always respect personal boundaries. Ask permission before initiating physical contact and honor a resident’s response.
Do not form personal or private relationships with residents outside of your assigned role.
Maintain appropriate communication and avoid behavior that could be perceived as exploitative or harmful.

Trust & Responsibility

Be consistent, reliable, and honest in your commitments.
Maintain confidentiality and protect residents’ privacy.
Direct sensitive concerns (including pregnancy-related decisions or safety issues) to a director or supervisor.

Integrity & Conduct

Represent Compassion House in a manner consistent with our Christ-centered mission.
Refrain from inappropriate language, substance use, or behavior that conflicts with our values.
